OUR IMPACT
ADIVASI YOUNGSTERS DARE AGAINST THE ODDS
The project aims at strengthening public education system by complementing resources to ensure comprehensive learning and development of children. The objective is to build synergy between the school and the other stakeholders, mainly the local community. Also, to create an extended platform at school to facilitate effective learning which is not limited to the syllabus, but which would motivate the children to pursue education with a clear dream and aspiration in life. The program focuses on the children coming from diversified cultural and socio-economic background. Create an environment to harness child’s creative nature and to gain knowledge out of their experience.
Project Challenges
88 schools remained shut for 10 years. Daring to reopen them and change the order would have meant a direct declaration against the Naxal violence that reigns the area.
With no schools and subsequently no formal education, the adivasi children of this area could never grow and progress. This meant that they would never be able to come out of the vicious circle of poverty and misery.
Results & Outcome
KarmaKonnect is Proud to support a bunch of 12th pass adivasi youth have taken one of the most dangerous risk of their life.
They have re-opened 88 schools so far in villages of Sukma, Chhatisgarh inflicted by Naxal violence (where the administration has been struggling to do any intervention) - These schools have been closed for last 10 years or more because of the violence.
This initiative is now reaching out to over 3900 out of school children in the area. They have been juggling between administration and naxals.
It takes a lot of courage to do that.
And we are honoured and privileged to be supporting them in running these schools as they welcome kids for the new academic year.

• “Adopt a Village" customized project for donors involving well researched sustainable solutions for development followed by a rigorous monitoring approach.
• Women Empowerment, livelihood, and legal help, rescue and rehabilitation projects
• Training and placement of underprivileged and specially-abled candidates
• Refuge rehabilitation and relief work
• Ad-Hoc Medical help and assistance as needed.
Karmakonnect also specializes in customized projects to help optimize donor and CSR spend and increase NGO efficiency.
