Community Kitchens Across Remote Villages in Jharkhand Feeding 400 People Everyday

During the nationwide lockdown period, rural people living in remote villages have little means to avail any government support/ aid. 

At Karmakonnect, our focus is usually remote rural and tribal areas that have little support from urban NGOs and lesser access to public support.

Project Challenges

During the lockdown period, life has become extremely difficult for people living in remote villages and hamlets. It is nearly impossible for them to procure two square meals and other necessities of life. Remote Rural villages and hamlets are often disconnected and have little means to reach Govt aid / distribution centers.

Results & Outcome

Community kitchens across remote rural areas in Jharkhand feeding almost 400 people are day. Deepak Kumar along with his team has been relentless in his efforts. Through these community kitchens, he is out to people in the remotest areas.

• Child education and livelihood skills (urban slum evening schools/shelters) in Gujarat, Telangana, MP, and Delhi through utilization of existing govt infrastructure and digital/innovative collaborative models.

• Rural Development Programs - Setting up  Water, Solar and Livelihood/Entrepreneurship projects in remote tribal areas.

• “Adopt a Village" customized project for donors involving well researched sustainable solutions for development followed by a rigorous monitoring approach. 

• Women Empowerment, livelihood, and legal help, rescue and rehabilitation projects

• Training and placement of underprivileged and specially-abled candidates

• Refuge rehabilitation and relief work 

• Ad-Hoc Medical help and assistance as needed.

Karmakonnect also specializes in customized projects to help optimize donor and CSR spend and increase NGO efficiency.
